Religion is based entirely on personal opinions.

People interpret the bible according to their own motives.

And, those opinions will never be in agreement with other people's opinions.

You're all talking like religious learning is that different from any other kind of learning. You're born in a world where there are a bunch of different sorts of things to experience, physical, spiritual, moral things. These include all the past writings and thoughts about these matters. What you learn from these becomes your worldview, and you form your worldview about physics with exactly the same number of pieces missing as are missing from your religious worldview. Everybody is uncertain about everything, unless they choose to commit to a belief. This is equally true of the belief that chocolate is bad for dogs as it is true of the belief that stealing is bad for the soul.
To say anything is to say it's correct. If anybody has any understanding of the scriptures, that is exactly the same as saying it is the true understanding of them. So i guess what i mean is, the reason anybody can say their view is the true one is because it's impossible to have a view and not say so.

You're right, just like a jigsaw puzzle ... not to mention, a lot of those pieces we do have, seem to be a bit faded and difficult to really see how they come together ... but they do come together somehow, or they wouldn't be there.

While you put your puzzle together, try to see the big picture and how each piece has a meaning to the others ... there are no contridictions. One piece says to "give up all you own and follow me." Yet another piece speaks of one who has much. - Realize, that which is gotten through greed is worthless but that which is received through the Blessings of God, is true abundance.

True. We do not know all the answers, there are a lot of trivial items that are not know. However we do know the major points and beleive them to be correct. There are different interpretations of some passages which is what has bred many denominations within Christianity, however they most all agree on the main points of Christ's death on the cross and resurrection for our sin and other tenets of Christianity.

Oh and by the way, you can't have religion without FAITH.

you read the bible and they give verses in the bottom that you can read so you can get a better picture of what they are trying to say.. you can also get a bible that is more easily understood..i like the king james version and i just love my bible ..i would be more able to show you how than to tell you how... the bible is truth and you need to know the scriptures and follow along because some preachers do not always agree on how or what the verse means...that is one reason for sunday school to be able to do the lessons and learn... but you can read the bible and the more you read and try the more god will give you and you will understand the word better..when i first started out i did not understand all or hardly any of it.. but i started studying every day and doing workbooks and cross reference and god opened my eyes...i hope you understand what i am trying to tell you here.. but you must bleive in the lord jesus christ and my you do need to have faith... i can not see a person living on this earth and really not believe in god... god give men knowledge...god made us and all of creation...and we should seek him and follow his outline for our lives and we will see the kingdom of god someday....and none of the pieces are missing... some you need to seek the lord for understanding..pray to him and read your bible and get close to god... you will really feel the difference....

pieces are all there - but can only be put together by studying. Once that is done with your religion - it can then be done with all - as the whole thing is a puzzle that only is completed if it's solved -- which means putting all the pieces together - inside ones religion - and then one's religion with all the others.
The pieces fit. Genesis 1 - Let us make man in OUR image.
Same basic message - different messengers - one planet.

At Deuteronomy 30:19-20, Moses told the people: “I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the malediction; and you must choose life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring, by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him; for he is your life and the length of your days.” Notice how life is inextricably connected with listening to the voice of God. But listening to him say what? Deuteronomy 31:12 provides the answer to that question: “Congregate the people, the men and the women and the little ones and your alien resident who is within your gates, in order that they may LISTEN and in order that they may LEARN, as they must fear Jehovah your God and take care to carry out all the words of this LAW”

So, God’s law is involved. Some say we need only have faith. But notice what Jesus himself says at John 17:3: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth – Jesus Christ.” Everlasting life is therefore dependent upon taking in knowledge of these two individuals: Jesus and the one who sent him forth: the true God.

Having said that, then, is it reasonable to believe that the true God would make available this knowledge and at the same time not enable us to understand it? Not according to Deuteronomy 30:11 where we read God’s words: “For this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you…”

So understanding requires sincere effort - at times - to a greater or lesser degree, but the only missing pieces are the ones we need to bring to the table: humility, hunger, honesty. To this God will add holy spirit that we may understand.

Well, believers see that the incomplete jigsaw puzzle is the Truth! Since they do not use logic, it is true for them, of course not for the thinking people!
