I was almost raped by my cousin (they didn't quite because I managed to get them off me) and I don't know how I can ever face him again. What can I do?

First I would tell your Mom if you are under 18.
If you are over 18 I would report it to the police.

Rape is Rape no matter if it's your cousin or not.

If fact it is even more sick to rape your own family members!!!

Also if he did it to you he will do it to other girls...

I was raped by my cousin when I was fourteen. I didn't tell my dad until I was in my twenties. I can remember the first time I saw my cousin after that. My friend and I were walking down the street and two guys pulled up to talk to us. The passenger just happened to be my cousin. I don't know what came over me but I literally flew through the drivers window and started to beat my cousin about the head and neck. Then when everyone was trying to pull me off of him I grabbed his throat and tried to choke him. I never saw him again after that day. He couldn't face me when I brought what he had done to me out in the open. Unfortunately the only people that knew about it for a long time was my one friend and my husband. It caused me a lot of trouble with sex, self esteem and trust. Thankfully my husband and I have worked through the problem and he helped me gain confidence in the bedroom. Save yourself the grief and heartache and talk to your parents. Let them know what happened and you may want to speak to counselor as well. It has taken me 17 years to be able to deal with that ordeal successfully. Don't let it take you that long.

I agree that you should tell your parents, then tell the police. Don't let him get away with it, or he'll try again with you or someone else.
But I'm also very sorry that you had to go through that. You may want to seek counceling, but I would first get the police involved to make sure you are safe. If they can't do anything, then get a restraining order.

What u should do depends on your age. If your upto 16 years, immediately let your parents know this. Also ask your parents to narrate this to your cousin's parents also. If you r between 17 to 30 years, you must tell strictly to your cousin, that you will be punished, I will tell this to our parent's and others, and if required to police also. If you r above 30 u must immediately call police.

i think you should talk to him ,not face to face but on the phone and warn him That if he ever did that again you are going to complain this to their parents .Do not take any serious step right now cause that could create huge tension in your family .I read what other guys told you ,i would advice you not to go to police ,try to solve the matter by yourself .And dont think that cousin can do it again ,if you warn him he wont try it again,sometimes we boys get carried away with your desires, it doesn't frequently.And i you want to be on safer side ,approach a Good frd of yours (male),who can use force and threatened him

make a diary about it, tell a friend or even your parents and inform the police about it. if you are afraid to tell those people, you might regret if ever time will come that you will be raped
