Though it was written by more than 40 different authors, is there any original writings of these biblical authors? What language was it originally written in? I don't think ppl at those times, Moses or even Jesus speak English. They are both Jews. Jews speak arabic at that time rite? The language of another religion. How do you prove the original works?

The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and Aramaic. The new Testament was written in Greek.

Jesus spoke Aramaic, although there is reason to believe that he may have also known Hebrew and Latin.

There are no original fragments of Scripture, but there are many ancient fragments. Some of which date back to the first century.

The New Testament was written by several different people. The Gospel of John, the Epistles of John & Book of Revelation were written by the Apostle John.

Most of the letters of St. Paul were
written by St. Paul, although some of them might have been written by one of St. Paul's followers.

The Gospel of Luke, & the Acts of the Apostles were written by Luke who was a follower of St. Paul.

The Gospel of Mark was also written by Mark, who was a follower of St. Paul.

The two books of Peter were written by the Apostle Peter and it is believed that the letter from James was written by a follower of Peter.

The original works can be proven by studying the ancient texts.

The bible was written by around 40 different authors as you mentioned. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek. Greek was the common language in the first century, eclipsing even latin among the Romans. The New Testament did include a few words in aramaic, but other than that was Greek.

As far as original writings still being around, I don't believe so. The closest we have are the dead sea scrolls. However, the scribes who reproduced the Bible, were in general very accurate, and with so many manuscripts being produced, we can see where there were errors on any one individual work.

There were no Jews at that time.. there were tribes called "Hebrews" and the language was Hebrew, and in part Aramaic (which is a related language).
Both languages are Semite languages, and related to Arabic, which has only developed thousands of years lated.
The scripts were put together in writing many centuries after they were told orally from father to son. They were intially collected in the form of may separate books, which were later put together to become the bible (the old testament).

The Greek version was around 132BC. The first English version was by John Wyclif. His rendering of the entire bible was in 1382. The first King James version was in1603. Before the Greek bible back before Jesus, the prophets got their words directly from GOD, and wrote them down, into what we now know as the Old Testament. The New Testament was after Jesus was born. These are his words from GOD. Bibleprobe.com has some good information on the history of the bible if you want to look farther.

Yes the Bible was written by many different men, speaking a different language. The Bible was translated by Joseph Smith, who was the very first prophet of the LDS church. You can visit www.lds.org and look up the information yourself. There is many many documents that prove he translated the Bible. If you really want to know, give it a try it won't hurt.

mostly men wrote the bible
the first five books were based on oral history and is written in Hebrew
the rest of the OT was written over centuries by different visionaries in Hebrew
the New Testament is written in Aramaic and is a compilitian of texts that a group of men decided best promoted Christian beliefs about 400 years after Jesus died, sort of a 'best of' edition.
