I think the Philips DVDR70 records to DVD+r/DVD+rw and some dvd players, especially older models, wont replay this format.
Also make sure your recorded discs are finalized!

could depend on a few factors. This maching only writes to dvd+r an dvd+rw disks, maybe your other machines dont support these disks, not all do.
Have you updated the firmware

THREE options for you....
1: if dvd+/-R make sure disc is finalised...
2: if using dvd+/-RW.. keep disc in player... press 3 till tray opens... try disc in other player, IF no good try 2 then if still no good try it with 1..checking disc each time....
3.. in system menu.. there is a bit called. "make edits compatable" try that....
PS:
also.. you notice there is no eject button on remote.. hold the stop button till drawer opens... GOOD LUCK

In the case of my DVD recorder (Deawoo) you have to finalise the disc to make it playable on another machine. i think this is because machines don't all use the same software.
