Ladies, this is more at you. I don't to go to a fast food place (she hates them), but I don't really want to go somewhere expensive, because I never have money. Where's a good place that I won't make a fool of myself, and she'll be happy with it?

Oh, right... somewhere around downtown Toronto, and possibly Richmond Hill

if you like Chinese-type food, there's a great place by the Eaton centre called 'spring rolls' ... this is seriously the best food that I've had in a while. every time i go to Toronto, we eat here.

it looks fancy, so she'll feel special, but it's not too expensive so it won't break the bank

good luck and enjoy :o)

A good place would be either at home, or at a restaurant where there's like a pooltable or something to do after the dinner. Cause i don't like going out just for dinner and going home. I like going downtown where there are a lot of restaurants and movie theatres around. Somewhere like along Queen street then movies at this theatre on Richmond street...it's near the Much Music building.

Take her to Berberian's steakhouse. After dinner, have the apple beignet for dessert. It is delicious, but it may be too expensive. Before you take her to any restaurant, walk by the place and read their menu. What are her tastes? There are a lot of Thai restaurants. Go to Yorkville where there is a large variety of restaurants and prices. Perhaps both of you could go and choose what you like. There is nothing wrong with telling a gal what your limit is. She'll be impressed with your honesty and straight-forwardness. Stay away from Front & King Streets. Prices are higher for the tourists and are not necessarily tasty.

Take her to the Royal Ontario Museum. It's free on Friday's after 4:30pm and sometimes they have really good entertainment.

Harbourfront has entertainment on the weekends with different festivals throughout the summer.

Take her to High Park for a picnic and some good Shakespearean acting at The Dream in High Park. I hope these suggestions help.

Jack Astor's is nice, reasonable, good atmosphere. Milestone's has better food and a quieter, more romantic atmoshere, but is a little more expensive.

If you want to knock the socks off her go to Centro Grill on Yonge near Eglinton. Very pricy, but worth every penny!

Personally if it was me going out I'd like to go to the movies (make sure you see one that your both like), eat at somwhere like subway or a chinese food place. Never the mall for a first date, it's tacky and to crowded. Anything like that and you would have my approval. P.S. amusment parks are always cool for a first date, it's like a full package in one.(great food, fun rides, and she can walk away with a cute prize you won her, even if it took you several tries)

Pack a picknic and take her to a park. Play with her there (not in a dirty way). Also, you could take her to an animal shelter and volunteer to walk dogs together. Sounds kinda poopy, but you will impress her with your sense of compassion and humility.

depends on what she likes... i mean, if she's real into the cute stuff like most girls are, you could just take her on a picnic. better yet, surprise her with it. tell her you're taking her somewhere really nice and then end up in a cute park or something with food you know she'd like... i mean, i liked it when my bf did that for me... so it's an idea
