Because most stress is due to the mind and body being fatigued, and that is what sleep helps eliminate.

Never heard that BUT once your brain goes into a subconsceince state you stop worrying and stressing.

from experience withdrawling from drugs and not sleeping for weeks at a time your mind starts playing tricks on you, everything is "gloom and doom and your body is failing. Be nice to yourself get a sctipt of Ambiem, a light sleeping ,non adictive sleeping pill, it works !!

I never heard of that but it makes sense.
You can't worry about anything if you are sleeping. It shuts you down.

interesting theory.
Killer of stress.
It is more of a body recuperation thing. it recupes the body by slowing bodily processes. And it dreaming recupes the mind by dumping your psychological garbage.
