It is individual what works - some like it gentle, some not. Some like a finger or two to join the party, some not. Try to find out during - if talking with the individual is not possible- a little attention to body langage and sounds can put you on the right track. And when the orgasm is over - stop!
People really do not talk enough about what they like in bed. I know people who have been together for years and have not had the sex life they wanted because they were too shy or embarrassed to talk and only found out when it was too late. Sex may seem to be everywhere, but so is a ridiculous amount of naivety and ignorance.
