that's a hard one. who's to say at what age is the right age to let someone do such a thing.

i was 11 when i first started smoking it, I'm 26 now. although doctors say that there are lots of complicated medical reasons for why not to smoke it, most of these things are superficial nonsense. if your worried about future concerns of cancer then i must let this be known. anything can trigger cancer to start growing, yes there are a lot of chemicals in smoke but cancer could be triggered off by something as common as taking an aspirin.

the only other complication that comes with smoking is shortness of breath, but daily exercise will stop this as most smokers will know, the only reason for why they suffer with shortness of breath is because after having a cigarette they sit around doing nothing, where as smokers who constantly keep them self's active rarely suffer with this problem.

Right the moment, say NO!

How are you sure that he is smoking marijuana? If it’s true then definitely you have already missed some stages to raising your flag?

How is his level of education? And as per his education level, try to motivate him by telling some stories, ethics and social impact. Tell him some tragic stories of your surroundings common known persons who have been suffering or have succumbed to illness caused smoking!!

Be a friend of your son and try to develop some extra social activities.

Do not ignore it...tell him about the dangers of smoking marijuana. Most people think it's nothing...but read more about it and you will know why it's so important to intervene. My brother committed suicide and wrote in his fair well letter that it is important to educate youngsters about the danger and negative consequences of smoking marijuana...and to tell them to never ever try it. This is my bro's message to you and your son.

The first thing to do would would be not to punish him.. it will not only push the problem farther away but him also...he is a teenager and as we all now they like to experiment with new things its also about wanting to find themselves. yes if he continues to do it have a calm talk with me and explain your views on it and warm him of the consiquenses to come.
