Ladies, the lone wolf or the guy with the pack of friends?

I'm wondering how I would fair in the dating pool if I went out with my friends or if I should just show up alone. My friends do go to the same bars over and over again and we never meet anyone new. I'd like to go out somewhere new but that means I gotta go on my own with no support. Suggestions?

If you are average looking it's best to be a lone wolf. If you are good looking, most men will go for you and ignore the average looking gals.
