all of em, I love nature, my garden was an overgrown dump when i bought it, and after a hell of a lot of time, it now has a lot of wildlife in it, i made some birdtables, nestboxes, water table, put out some feeders etc, this season, magpies (dont' want to encoursge those, but don't want to harm them either) are nesting there, with 4 pairs of pigeons, lots of little birds, and all 5 nest boxes, sparrows in two, blue **** in the other 3, but all flown now. I tried to encourage goldfinch's and now and again a small flock of about 12 visit for ouncel. there are lots of different species from the ones above, robins, bullfinch, hawthorn finch, greenfinch, linnets, blackbirds, thrushes, the usual bunch of chancers you might say.

Not many creatures I *don't* enjoy watching :-)

I too was a keen 'Birder', whilst in UK. Now I live in the wilds of Ireland and the stuff I see would blow ye away. The bird life around me is far more numerous and quite differant from what we had in england.

Eg. Our crows are Hoodies. The robin's probably the most commonly seen bird. Probably followed by the chaffinch and pied wagtail. But I also see plenty of spotted flycatchers. I've had a family of siskins on my peanuts. Brood of great **** now visit those, having nested just along my ditch. Goldfinches. All quite differant from what I attracted in uk. Blackbirds - amazingly - I don't see that many of.

Best of all though has to be the Black Tailed Godwit, nesting in the field outside my cottage and the Hares who come and sit and play on my path. Oh; And the calls of the nesting Curlews! Magical! :D

I live deep in the coutry and have had deer wander through the garden. There are rabbits, hares, grey squirrels (YUK!) stoats and weasels.

But the best are the birds. I got very excited earlier this year when a Serin came looking for food. They are a bright yellow bird of the Finch family rarely seen in the UK. Then I saw several more and I hope that they nested nearby.

I'm also a bird watcher but I watch other things too. Last night I ent outside and a little shape scrambled past me. I got a torch and was stunned to see a whopper of a Hedgehog! This is the second time I've had Hedgehogs in my garden, and I hope its not the last.

I have bats outside my apartment building and at dusk it is great fun to watch them. They are so quick and the way they dart around is really cool. Also there is generally several of them at a time so it is quite a show. They're great. I miss them during the winter.
