Just be yourself.....honest, loyal and faithful to your friends.......putting on a front to appear cool and hip just makes you a fake and that will come out eventually. Would you rather be known as yourself or a fake down the road?

Dude, this creates an interesting paradox, as the people who want to be "cool", are never the ones who actually end up being cool. Just be yourself and you'll be popular among the type of people that you want to be popular with. Otherwise, you'll just end up being the dumb@$$ who mistakenly thinks he's cool.

First you are never going to be cool if you are asking how to be cool. Second, it does not matter, in the end we all end up 6 feet under the same way.

I think cool and hip people are not loud or obnoxious. They exude self confidence in a quiet, gentle manner. That is cool and hip to me.

To me a hip and cool person is someone who doesn't care what others think of him/her... who is original,...a trendsetter (someone who can make cheap clothing look expensive),...smart and genuinely confident , but not a snob...someone who has a great outer appearance (clean, smells fabulous) and has a great personality without being too obliging...and who doesn't kiss people's you- know- what.

AND A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE GOING TO TANNING SALONS, EVEN TO THE POINT OF SPRAYING A BRONZE COLOR ON THEM, THEY ARE ALSO FLOCKING TO GET THEIR LIPS INJECTED, SOME ARE OUT THERE DYING IN THE SUN, TELL ME WHO IS REALLY TRYING TO BE COOL????

Just be yourself. Are you good at anything? Creat a band or play a sport. Just be you. Use what you are good at, to your advantage. And don't try to hard, it will backfire. Good luck
