if the army needs recrutis why are they so picky bout the ASVAB score that u get??

Have you ever thought that it might be because the military ISN'T in need of volunteers that badly? They've been meeting ALL of their enlistment quotas for many months now, so your premise is false. As far as why you need to be smart to be in the military, it's because young men and women (18+) are expected to work a job that is oftentimes extremely involved. In the aviation community, many mechanics aren't older than 19 or 20 and they're working on multi-million dollar aircraft. You probably wouldn't let a random 19 year old work on your car!

Boom you didnt get an officers option because not only did you NOT graduate highschool, you are required to have 4 years of complete college to even remotely have officer option. And the reason for your question is because you have to be 'smart' enough not only to 'point your weapon in the right direction' as some of you would say...you have to know your MOS front and backwards. well miss petunia cajunjo06 expert on recruiting and all things military, perhaps you should enlist and show them how it's done.

The fact is I have been around a variety of young people in this age range...that's including college students, those working at fast food restaurants, and walmart etc, but the brightest and most mature by far are the ones going in the military. Anyone who thinks differently is just showing their ignorance.

The ASVAB is a placement test to insure all personnel entering military service can be productive and have the minimum intelligence and reasoning skills to do the job(s) he/she will be assigned. All military personnel have taken the test, and some have taken it more than once to apply for different jobs...

These test help the Military determine where to best place you. If you have a high technical ability, then that is where you should be working. On the other side they also let them know if you are trainable and if you aren't you need to go on back home.

Well Petunia, Here in the DEEP south where most of the recruits come from. They will now take you if you were in special Ed--have a criminal record..Tell ya scores DO NOT MATTER.... will change score for ya. What ever just sign right here--------------. Take this gun and go to Iraq. We have been "training the Iraq army for four years--they still can not fight!! DUH!! The US trains our guys six weeks here and six weeks there and YOU ARE GONE!! STRANGE!! HUmmmmmm Are the Iraq men THAT STUPID??
