Try giving the drugs a rest, and getting a hard day of work in. Make yourself so tired you don't want to kill anybody.

Klonopin? Ohhh, yes find a doctor fast. I was on Klonopin, and after a while I developed what one could call a "reaction." Basically, it stopped working for my nerves and anxiety, instead, I was restless and wide-awake, wired-like, as if I had too much coffee. In the end several weeks later, I felt really suicidal. turns out that I can never take it again. The chemical compound or make-up has an adverse reaction and I get really depressed and cry and want to die...and can't get any sleep. Sleep deprivation will drive you nuts!

manic depression, or bi-polar disorder is a rough disease, but once they find the correct medicine and dosage for you, you will begin to feel better. But you must stay on your medication. No crap like I am feeling better so I can get off it for now. No way! I take Ambien for sleep and it knocks me out for about 7-8 hours, but when I wake up I am a bit groggy. I do not know how Ambien would react with the medication you are taking. Having a bi-polar disorder may be influencing your sleeplessness. If you are manic you are probably hyper and sleep is tough to come by. If you are depressed it may be hard to fall asleep but once you are asleep it is tough to get up in the A.M. This is something that a psychiatrist should work out with you....one who is also a psychopharmacologist. Too many psychiatrists really don't know everything there is to know about medication. I speak from experience.

Bi Polar in the manic phase?? You should be on a mood stabilizer, the drugs you mention must have a different name in Australasia. Do not take more this morning, careful of overdose. See Consultant on call, no Doctor goes away without adequate cover for his/her Clients.
Cut out alcohol, limit caffeine intake and no tea or coffee after 7 pm. Utilize Malty milk drinks like Horlicks, herbal teas like Camomile. Try doing relaxation techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation, and visualization. Things will improve, don't despair. Life will be great again

im sorry that you cant sleep, but medicine affects people diffrently. It may not work for u. I would try going to am after hour clinic until your doctor gets back. I have ambien to make me sleep and it works awesome. I say give it a little longer and if it dosent work try something new. U may have a high tolerance for sleeping pills. How long have u been on sleeping pills?

Even if your doctor is gone there should be a doctor covering for him/her. klonipin, usually knocks the hell out of most people that take it so you definately need to consult a physician or better yet a psychiatrist for help with this. We are all effected differently by medications. DO NOT adjust the medications your self without seeking medical help.
