they keep on teasing and i don't really enjoy it....

Hi, yes, I think its the best thing to do. Where I come from we only do it once we get married. So I don't have to worry about any of the issues with friends and feeling left out. However, I can say, a real good friend would respect you because of it and not make fun of you.

There is nothing wrong with being a virgin at 16,in fact it's great considering how things are nowadays. You have nothing to be ashamed of,for all you know your friends could be making up the sex tales to make themselves look cool. You can not always believe what you hear.There is no need to rush into sex,by the time you're 30,you will probably be wondering why were you in such a hurry in the first place. But there is no need to rush into it,guys will use all kinds of lines to get you to have sex,the famous one being "if you loved me,you would",don't fall for that,that's a trick.If someone truly loves someone,they will not try to force them to do something they are not ready to do. There are two things you've got to worry about with having sex too soon,AIDS and teen pregnancy and I don't think you would want either.

Hell yeah that is awesome. I think that it is great when people can surpass all the peer pressure of everyone having sex now days. I got a friend that is 20 and is still a virgin and she is cool as hell. I am so proud of her but she wants to make sure that it is with the right guy and not someone that she may regret doing it with later in life. Keep up the good work and dont let other people drag you down with their opinions. It is your body and only you will know when u are really ready to begin having sex just make sure that it happens when u feel ready and that no one is pressuring you into it and trust me no matter what anyone says you are not the only virgin out there.

Honey, to be frank they are teasing because your the only innocent one left and their jeleous. Dont rush sex because your friends have done it (take it from someone who tried it young and regrets it) rushing into sex is never healthy for anyone, you have to be aware of the risks, there is not only pregnancy to consider but diseases. Being a virgin isnt something you should be ashamed of, you should hold onto it until you find the right guy, i think you shouldent have sex until your atleast 18 because your more mature then and are able to understand the sensual aspects of it better as well as safety, because those young boys dont know what the hell they are doing anyway and you wont enjoy it as much as you think. Based on your nation and family restrictions, you can take a decision. If there are no restrictions, better you start sex as soon as possible coz its wonderful experience. so wait as long as possible. as they tease you, remember that you still have the ability to focus on school, hobbies, etc. etc.

AND, chances are, none of them had a great experience. no matter what they say, 16 is way too young to get all the emotional and physical benefits. so, listen to their stories. but don't let them bother you. YOU are normal! :) and you rock!
