I suppose I could wait longer to find out, but I just can't wait that long and haven't noticed a difference. I just want to know if the top is getting stronger or weaker; and whether I should use a straw.

It's the ice melting! One drink faster, or two keep vodka in freezer and mixer in fridge and don't use ice!

The laws of dynamics say that cold sinks so the ice water should settle to the bottom and the juice and vodka towards the top but then there's the ice and it starts all over till the drink reaches a neutral temp. At that time the heavier particles will settle to the bottom(juice) the lighter will rise(water) and the alcohol being a solvent will be mixed in both fairly evenly!

vodka is heavier........it sinks.. Depending on if you drink slowly, you will be more intoxicated when it gets to the stronger part of the drink. Drinking with a straw consumes the liquor more quickly. While I view drinking as a process, it should be pleasurable. The easier it gets to drink the better.

It'll seperate a little bit because they are different densities but it's not like oil and water. Alcohol floats to the top so if you're drinking with a scraw the last drink will be the strongest.
