I have never heard that you are not supposed to drink water if you have a hangover. Maybe something with electrolytes would be better, like Pedia-lyte or Gatorade, but water, lots of water, needs to be the staple. Before you drink and after, and the days you don't drink too.

Maybe whoever told you that wanted you to suffer from the hangover. You absolutely need to drink water when you've got a hangover. A hangover is basically your body telling you it very dehydrated. Now don't drink an entire gallon at once, but a big glass won't kill you. Also if you drink water between drinks it'll help prevent from getting a hangover at all.

I have heard that you are NOT supposed to drink COLD water, because if you have a hangover your body of course is dehydrated and the inside of your stomach has a warm temperature, so if you just wake up and add cold water you can get a stomachache. But just regular temperature water is fine, although all you want when you have a hangover is a frozen gallon.

You have it all wrong. If you have a big night you should try and drink as much water as you can before you go to bed to prevent a hangover and then the next day keep up the water intake to rehydrate yourself.

Its the the other way around friend. You should drink more water it can never be bad for you. Alcohol depletes water in the body and lots of water is needed to replenish our body. Drink healthy and eat healthy.

I think you are supposed to drink water or you'll be dehydrated, which means a worse hangover.
