Don't wear platforms. They don't really fool people into thinking that you're taller.

I think the Democrats should work on their platform more. Not only do we not know what they stand for, they themselves don't know it. All I hear is they hate Bush. But thats not enough to elect them. We need to know what they will do, not what they wont do.
They controlled Congress for decade and Clinton was in office for 8 years. They could have done things, but didn't. If they want my vote they need to come up with better ideas than their opposition, and frankly I havent heard any.
Suggestions for platform? Okay. Stop all illegal immigration, now, not tomorrow. End the automatic citizen birth right of children of illegal immigrants. Fight a real war on terror. Permanent Tax Cuts. Improve our public school system (not give them more money, improve them), nominate supreme court justices that will not legislate from the bench, balance the budget and start paying on the deficit, shrink the size of government on all levels, make public servants, servants and quit paying them so much (hint, part-time legislators), etc. Yes, those are all conservative items, I know, but the liberal items are sooooo socialist in nature.

Make sure that they fit securely. They can be very tippy.
You want a pair that won't cause you to twist your ankle.
If the heel is 3 inches, make sure the platform is ATLEAST an inch high.
If the heel is 4 inches, you'll want a 2 inch platform.
Make sure you walk around in them for a few minutes in the store before buying them.
You want to test them to see how stable they are.
I love platforms. They really add a lot of height to you.
In pants or jeans, they make your legs look like they go for miles.
In skirts too, for that matter.

Make sure you walk in them carefully. Then I might want a couple pairs of platform boots with a thick, chunky heel, probably up to 6 1/2". I may not have trouble walking in them.
