Yes, but really police cannot do anything thing they want. If they don't follow the law the Judge could dismiss the case. Sometimes police mess up they are after all policemen not attorneys. And most Judges will talk to the police officer after court to explain why it was dismissed in hopes that it will not be repeated. I know there is coruption in many police forces but from my experience the police aren't there to make your life miserable most of the time they are too busy to mess with pety things......really! They are there to do their job.

He sure can! If he has reason to believe that the teen is under the influence...he can definately ask him to take the test.

Absolutely... My son has been picked up and jailed for underage consumption... They can do anything they want.... Believe me and it sure costs alot of money........
