Most sites I found said the entrance should be between 4-5 inches, with the preferred size between 4 and 4.5 inches. The nest box should be about 18 X 24 inches. Again, that depends on the breeder and the web site in question. I'll post some of the sites I liked under 'sources' :-) . Perhaps they'll explain the information you're looking for better than I can.

It should be 30%-50% larger than the birds themselves. In case they cant get fit in or get stuck.
