The answer is simple, but may not be easy to 'perceive'.
Let me attempt with an example, which should be taken only symbolically, and not literally !
Suppose, you are dreaming while asleep, and in that dream somebody is asking for his creator, or even creator's creator ! How can he (or even the "you" inside that dream), know the creator, unless the dream is conscious? The question is more or less similar. But not so hopeless a situation. A sincere attempt to experience deeper levels of consciousness can give an "experiential" answer about creator.

That would assume that the Creator was created. The Creator was. Even before there was a concept of time.

God is the Creator. He is the first cause. Everything came to be because He willed it.

There are some that say "man was created in god's image" and some would say "god was created in man's image"--i'm in the latter camp.
