I hear that the Jews have now decided that the temple was actually north of the Dome, so it would not be on the same spot, and also... I have heard that they have now put together a sanheindren.

This at the moment is not possible. The Temple Mount is a major holy site for the Moslem's.( Dome of the Rock )
they control it's access. The Ark of the Covenant has been lost for
many centuries. There have been many attempts in the past 400 years to find it,yet it's location is still elusive.

The location of the original Jewish Temple is currently a Muslim worship site called the "Dome of the Rock".

For that reason, it's unlikely that the temple will be rebuilt there.

The ark is not necessary for the building of the temple. It wasn't in the 2nd temple (Herod's temple) at all. It had been taken and hidden away long before Christ walked the earth.

There's no temple rebuild project going on at this time.

No, they have a little something called Dome of the Rock on Mount Zion. I think it is the third holiest site in the world for Islam. They might be a little upset if it got bulldozed.

No, it's not. There is a Mosque where the temple stood and razing it would start World War III
