In physics, matter cannot be created nor destroyed; it is just a rearrangement of molecules. If you burn a log, it just turns into water vapor, smoke, and ashes. All of the molecules are still there, just in another form. So, explosions NEVER destroy anything; they just rearrange things.
As for the 'goop', we do return to goop. YOU are the product of cows, chickens, pigs, broccoli, spinach, potatoes, watermelon, Coca Cola, water, and whatever else your mother ate while she was pregnant. Your mother transformed a pile of digested 'goop' into YOU. And into this pile of digested goop you will return when the bacteria get hold of you.
There is only one point on which Creation and evolution disagree: where did the original matter come from. The Universe provides all of the material necessary to create life. There is nothing within you that is not found floating in space. You are basically made up of carbon and water.
The divergence occurs when you ask where this material came from, since, nothing can be created nor destroyed. That is why I believe in God. I do not, however, believe in Creation.
Your question is either infantile or dogmatic. You either know how evolution works by studying how bacteria permutate (which is why you need a flu shot every year), in which case you are just being provocative and dogmatic, or, you are just ignorant of the natural world which is all around you.
In either case, to truly get an answer to your question, you should ask NO ONE. Not a science teacher or your pastor. You should ask yourself insightful questions and try to find insightful answers, independent of preconceptions or prejudice.
I can assure you of one thing, though. You will never find an answer in either your Bible or a science book. The answer will come from an opening of your mind, not by closing it to any particular doctrine.

Your question is, "How did an explosion create the universe?" Correct?
Well, for starters, the Big Bang theory does not mean an 'explosion'. That is a common misconception. It simply is a theory on how our universe began and it also makes several key predictions about the state of our universe (all of which are correct I might add). You really should look into the theory before you attack it. Do you know what a Straw Man is?
Now you ask, ok, so what about before the big bang, right? Well, look into M-Theory. It seems to be the direction that science is going in now. It explains what was around before the big bang. We may be wrong in that time began with the big bang. But that is still to be determined.
But you see, we will always have the same fundamental problem, no matter how many answers science comes up with...and that is, "What happened before that?" right?
Well, I would ask you, what was around before your god? The logic goes both ways....

An explosion didn't create the earth, the earth was formed by dense clouds of materials cobinding together under gravity. If you meant the univerise now thats another thing. Now lets have a look at forsenic science after a bomb blast not everything is destroed, it that was the case then thoose forsenic sciences would not have enough materials to piece together that bomb and show us such things as the bomb trigger or the casing or even tell us that kind of compounds cause the explosion.

Is this the "Returning to goop" question?
Let goop sit long enough, it becomes dust. Let anything sit long enough and it becomes dust. Even people. Atheists, Jews, Christians, Buddhists and Muslims alike. A shared afterlife; a lot of people hate THAT idea, it seems.
But what's the curiosity in Atheists? Noone ever tries to understand an Athiest. We're too much of a minority to warrant understanding. People prefer to just write us off as unlightened, faithless, wrongdoers who are destined to burn for eternity.
Seriously, why do you want to know?

maybe just like when different bacterias get together create some new virus that no one can cure, just like time killed or evolved the dinosaurs. time creates new things all the time. im not atheist but im not religious either. many people say "it's in the bible god created everything" but just because one choose to believe the bible does not mean every one else who does not believe is wrong.my opinion is the bible was written by MAN man wasn't always know to be truth-full--- but then thats just me

I talked about a guy run by the floor of a pool packed with a non-Newtonian fluid hence God is genuine, and also the soul is an invisible organ contained in the human body this is teleported to genuinely one of two parallel universes, both heaven or hell when we die.
