No and I received best answer for a very similar question. As a teenager I dated a boy named Jamie and I always think of it as a male name(because it still makes me think of him now and I am in my 30's) even though I know it can be both.

I used to renowned a warm guy named Jamie. particularly his call grow to be James, and human beings continuously basically referred to as him Jamie. He on no account attempted to alter it however, and no person ever picked on him or something. i think of it fairly is great.
