well when you have the medical condition depression you do not have to be sad about something particular. you may just have a natural chemical inside of you that is not produced enough. Start with trying to get a full 8 hours of sleep at night, and doing regular excersice. if these do not work, ask your doctor about anything they may be able to help with.
if you are feeling very bad, like you want to hurt yourself please call a doctor right now.

You may have a hormon imbalance and maybe you might need an antidepressant, see a doctor if it continues for a long period of time. I think everyone has down time in their lives, some times a change in diet like eating alot of fruits a veggies may help snap you right out of it with some brisk walks. Find friends to talk too, change things around in your house, watch funny movies that make you feel good. Be good to yourself and remember you are as important as anyone else and you deserve to be happy.

Take the best part of your body or what u like about your self and compliment it. I.E. if u have a nice butt, buy the perfect jeans, nice toes, get pedicure, or use the search engine to find biblical scriptures that will help u. I WAS often sad myself but my reason WAS lying and getting loans behind my hubby's back and also weight gain. I had to confess and b honest. B true to yourself and u will feel better.

Sometimes there is no reason behind it. Sometimes it's a chemical imbalance. Sometimes you just feel sad. If it is a prolonged sadness spread over days or weeks or even months, go to a doctor.

Just talk to your friends and family and see professional help. Personally, I don't like the sound of using an anti-depressant. Talk through your problem(s) first.
