My boyfriend tells me he loves me unconditionally. I believe him most of the time. But I just find it strange that he is NEVER the first one to say "I love you." I say it to him and he is like I love you too. When he gives me letters... they always say I love you... but he never speaks it unless I say it first. Lately it has been bothering me. We have been together for almost 3 years. We do everything together. We are even moving in with each other next year. But this little bitty thing is bothering the hell out of me. Am I just overreacting? How can I get him to open up to me just a little bit more? Do I need to back off a little and give him some room to come to me? Like make him miss me a little bit? I don't know what to do!

hey not bad idea to amke him miss u a little bit more...but becareful not to make him misunderstand that ure actuali avoiding him...and yeah...y not trying some other ways...like telling him that youre having some kind of sadness of depression and see the way he reacts...if he does love u then he should show u his concern and care bout u more...good luck gal!

Sounds like he's still learning and having a hard time. Maybe he's doing that to avoid temptation? Be patient, leave or both. No you're not wrong for wanting affection above that which eh would show to others, but just keep in mind that he is not your fiance or husband, so he doesn't necessarily owe that to you. I'd say he owes you a priority concerning his time and trust though. If he loved you the same as everyone else, he wouldn't have asked you to be his girlfriend. He's trust trying to figure out the right balance, not snub you. You should tell him what's on your mind. Guys don't like it when we "expect them to know what we're thinking." =)

why do you read into things like this to much. everyone has there own way of showing how they love a person. just because he does not say he loves you first. keep going on about your normal life with him and things will be just fine. if you let something like this bother you it will get to a point where you cant take it no more and things will get bad. so just TRUST him and love him and he will do the same in return.

Maybe you should hold not say it for awhile to see if he says it first or at least wondering why you havent said it lately. I've had plenty of guys say it first so believe me they dont always mean it then either. I love you can become more of a habit sometimes. He probably means it though if he has been around for 3 years.

I would not say it to him and wait until he says it to you and actually see if he says it to you but you can really tell if someone loves you by the way they say it and the look that they give you sometimes. I would just see if tomorrow if he says it to you without you saying it first.

send him to a busy convience store and ask him to go buy you some tampons! then tell him he got the wrong ones and make him go back into the store and get another kind if he loves you like he says he wont have no problem with it if he dont he will ***** about it!
