I have an 4 year old PC , i just upgrade windows what else maintenace should i do ?

Did you do a clean install?
As in did you wipe EVERYTHING off compleatly (don't do a quick one)?
Is it in NTFS?!??!?! I hope it's a windows that can be put into NTFileing System...
You should Defrag once a week...
You should get an anti-virus
You should get a anti-spywear
(Anti Malwear in genral)
You should get a firewall (if on the net or a network that has access to the internet)...
You should get any updates and patches for it...
You should get the plug-ins for what you NEED and USE only
You should make sure you have enough RAM
You should get a RAM prog that monitors it and frees up unused RAM usage proccesses...
You should SPRAY it out at least every 4 months, you know those dust can spray thingies ...

Dust can help it burn out it's life quicker (like litterally burn it too LOL)
You should get a power surge for it, don't want your hard drive to have too many power crashes or the power supply for that matter... or any power surges from such things...
On that note you should keep the keyboard and monitor and out side CPU clean too, there's dust thingys for the Keyboard and even mini vacumes LOL they work well, that way you keep what you own already instead of puring money into later...
GET a FAN or some kind of GOOD cooling system for it... (lots of fans work, and they're the cheapest way to go), keeping the inside cool is better then freezing your home and keeps your computer life LONG and FRESH

Oh one more thing ... DO NOT GET VISTA (the newest windows)!!! Or Norten ... They're EVIL for your computer!!!

AM answer is great , i agree ; download zonealarm if you are not in a local network ; download yahoo antispy , and take care of your files in pc ; always be aware of what happens to your pc , good luck !
