I think that this would be perfectly legal. Everyone is videoing everyone these days. Think of every store that you go into. Every parking lot/deck that you enter, every elevator that you ride. If it is for your protection and the camera is on your property...well then...you should have every right to servile the perimeter of your home....sounds legal to me! (you could ask your local authorities just to make sure)

yes i know this...we have a crazy lady living on our block she has 5 cameras mounted to watch all of the neighbors..its not for protection its to be nosy.

yes it is legal i have signs posted in my yard stating i have video cameras, i live in florida, my cameras have also saved my *** a few times because of neighbors causing trouble for us. we also use them for our protection.

you bet...anything in public view is not protected...if they aim it into your bedroom or inside the house...that is protected

how could anything outside be an invasion of your privacy as someone suggests????

If it points into their yard and records things they are doing - no, they can then sue you for invasion of privacy
