i got a uncharactized (y) discharge due to undignosed medical problem. once it becomes dignosed, will the army change my discharge to honorable medical discharge

Probably not. You were not in the service long enough for them to evaluate your character.

First of all how do they give you a discharge for a undiagnosed medical problem? You either have a medical condition or you don't. It does not seem reasonable to discharge someone for "unknown " medical causes. Insist they have one it may cause you big problems in the future not to, especially if your medical injury was caused or aggravated by miltary service.In your case I would find a knowedgable advocate immediately. I'm serious.
