Because they are not killing each other - they are killing those who voted for democracy.
The people doing the killing each are trying to re-impose a dictatorship with themselves in charge.

I ask all who think this war is over oil. Why did over 50,000 of our troops die in Nam. a rotten fish sandwich is all they had to fight over. also they did not pledge to kill all infidels. We have lost over 2500 HERO'S to mainly those who are outside of Iraq .Those who sneak in as terrorist into a Islamic community to create problems. for the Iraq countrymen. This is done so their own ideals of rule may be imposed. Look up the facts most of these people want us there.

There are many reasons why, but I wouldn't consider that one of them. The one that I personally see as the biggest reason is to get rid of the terrorists that are spread throughout that area. The ones that want to kill us because we are American, yeah, those guys.

They are killing each other over political control and to get America out. We stay to end this and bring freedom were it is needed.

the U.S. enjoys butting into other peoples business. especially, if it sees a monitary gain. even if its at the expense of other peoples lives i.e. soldiers, contractors, media. the fact of the matter is, those people have been warring for centuries. if they want to fight, let them. who are we to change them? who are we to set up our type of government in their land? they were an established people eons before america was thought of.
