Why is the Vatican adorned with 24 karat gold everywhere and why does the Pope wear expensive Versace robes? If Jesus came back, don't you think he would say that the money the Catholic Church puts into things of this nature should go to the needy?

I think the reason for so much adornment in the Catholic Church is that it produces money. But we never hear of this money going anywhere OUTSIDE of the Church. So where does it go?

I have always thought that, when I was a child they would ask us to bring in our pennies for the poor, and look at Mother Theresa trying so hard to feed the needy and all those fat guys sitting in their boys club stuffing themselves. Jesus lived with only the things it took to live. In other words I think he would cry.

I am pretty sure He would have more to say about the Vatican condoning and covering for sex offenders within the catholic church. I am pretty sure He is going to be very upset at their constant praise and worshiping to Idols and Statues. Those are bigger deals that what earthly clothing they have.

I agree with webflys answer. The Vatican does not exist to serve the Lord and is a disgrace.

He would have the Pope flogged not for his church's greed and hoarding but for providing a haven for and encouraging the development of homosexual pedophile rapists

read the Gospels and it will be pretty clear...He had confrontations with the religious leaders of His earthly time, and i think there would be similar conflicts today, and not just with the Catholic Church...

I believe that what He said to the Pharisee's and the money changers would be considered mild by comparison.

We all know Catholics like pretty things. Jesus would go right to Versace and buy himself a robe, too.
