No I think that they have created a lot of awareness, that good foods can be made at home it just takes a little know how. They have given this info away except the salaries for TV and extra attention given they're restaurants they receive. But education is never a bad idea. The industry as a whole has been revitalized and the fact that our patrons are smarter and perhaps more sophisticated palate wise that it means we as a whole will have to work harder to reach new heights in the culinary arts. So what! It helps to weed out those who would do better a Mc Donalds!

No they have made cooking more popular and stylish. A lot more men are picking up the hobby. Most of the celeb chefs have great cookbooks out, good products and their restaurants are great. Ever ate at an Emeril's or Wolfgang Pucks? The celeb chef's have expanded the industry.

Nothing will ruin the chef "industry".
Celebrity chefs have brought a passion to the masses that will make people think about what they are eating, cooking and feeding their families.
The one thing I will say is that all the people that are in the cooking world that want to be a chef on tv can stay out of my kitchen.
