I think Agnostics are free thinkers. Unlike Atheists and Theists, Agnostics are open minded. Agnostics understand that when you accept an ideology as the absolute truth, you close your mind to all other possiilities. If there is a God, he/she/it would want us to be open-minded. How else could we hear the things that he/she/it wants us to know?
Agnostics are ready to believe things that make sense, but quick to point out things that make no sense at all.

I think it's for the person who can't make up their minds. Agnostics are a very unsure group - they don't even know if they believe in a god or not.
Of course, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Agnostics at least are not hypocritical. They don't say they belong to some religion and then disregard half of what that religion teaches. Often times, Agnostics are the people searching for a religion they can truly believe in - which a far more earnest endeavor than the pseudo-devotion given by many people who claim to belong to one religion only.

Agnostics are wishy-washy fencesitters. "Uh...'god' sort-of exists."
No. Either "god" exists, or it doesn't. And in the absence of proof, there are no "gods" - not the christian myth nor of any other.
"It's okay to be ambivalent."
Total codswallop. (Or should that be "god"swallop?) It's the same basis of proof as "innocent until proven guilty": we assume the negative side of the claim is true until we *prove* the positive side.
Would you agree to someone saying about you, "We can't prove he's guilty, but we should lock him up just in case to keep everyone safe"? If you wouldn't, why waffle about the "god" myth?

I'm all for it.
I'm a second degree agnostic.
First degree agnostics don't know if god exists -- but think it is an important question.
Second degree agnostics don't know -- and don't care. If I were suddenl;y given proof now that God exists, I would not change the way I live my life.

I am an agnostic-atheist/humanist and I think its just fine. It leaves room for disscussion without being such a shithead about ones personal beliefs.

we each have our own path to take in life, and this path was tailor made to suit each individual, i think this a standing on both sides of the fence, stance, i always pray the Holy Spirit, allow them to see the light when it is right for their soul, and they will jump the the brighter side of the fence, and embrace all that life has to offer.

Agnostics are atheists who don't have the balls to say so. They're the "moderates" of the spiritual world; completely without conviction.
