cuz they want to make you feel better and lure you into a false sense of security. most of the time though, when it's been said to me, i think he was just trying to tell me that he liked me. even if you only like someone and dont love them yet, it's kind of awkward to say "oh i like you!" "i love you" is much mroe romantic and sounds better

It depends on thier age.When I was between 16 and 25, I would have said anything you wanted to hear.Now I am 35,and I never say I love you unless I really mean it.It's all about experience , hormones ,and maturity.
