1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all die, but we shall all be changed-- 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall by no means precede those who are dead. 16 Because the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

As was said before, 1 Corinthians 15:52 says that "in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raise incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
This speaks about us being changed, now, put it with 1 Thessalonians 4:17 - "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
The two together speak directly to the rapture, even thought the word "rapture" does not appear in the Bible (just like the word "trinity" does not appear in the Bible, but we accept it as truth.)

it’s probably that you do not understand that there are two “appearings”: two comings of Christ - both with an “R”. The first is the “Rapture”. That's when we hear the words, “come up hither” in Revelation 4:1 and we're caught up in the twinkling of an eye, I Corinthians 15:52. The dead in Christ rise first, then we which are alive and remain are caught up with the dead in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, I Thessalonians 4:16.
Now the tribulation hour begins in chapter 6. We're already gone in chapter 4, with the come up hither. We get to verse 12, we have this problem with that was mentioned, but that precedes His coming back to earth, the second part of the Second Coming called His “Revelation”, or his revealing on earth. And revelation 6:12 says, “there was a great earthquake and the sun became black as sack cloth of hair and the moon as blood”. You find it again in Joel chapter 2, verses 30 and 31. But Jesus pinpoints the time in Matthew 24:29, immediately after the tribulation of those days, after the 7 years will the sun become darkened and the moon shall not give her light. Then Christ returns with his people for Jude 14 says the lord comes with ten thousands of his saints. You need to study the two “appearings” - the two “comings” of Christ, my friend.

No. There is no rapture. God is coming here to establish his kingdom.
Ezekiel 13:20.
God is against those who teach them to fly away.
Be very careful, this is part of the mark of the beast.

1 Thessalonians 4:13. The sleep are the people that are sleep from the truth of God not the dead people . 2 Corinthians - Chapter 5:8, to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. The dead go back to Heave where we came from.
Lots of answers mention 1 Corinthians 15:52. The Corinthians miss understood the the letter from Paul so he wrote the second letter 2 Corinthians stating that we are NOT going to meet Jesus in the clouds.
When Clouds are mention in the Bible it refers to a crowd of multitude. Keep this in mind when you read some of this verses. 1 Cor 15:52- to be raised incorruptible means to change with full knowledge. To be in the spirit with full knowledge. you can't be corrupted if you know the truth. Keep reading the following verses and it will explain what I just mentioned.

yes, I do believe in the rapture, though the word is not in the Bible, the Bible calls it the great catching away.
1 Corinthians 15:51-53
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
how will it happen?
1 Thessalonians 4:17
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
does it agree with the Bible, yes!

Well, I often struggled with the claims about Jesus' return being soon. However, after a few years of searching the Scriptures, I realized that there won't be a rapture. I find that the Bible is more consistent with the partial preterist position, which says that the "second coming" of Christ occured when the Temple of Jerusalem fell, that the Emperor Nero, Titus, or Vespasian was the AntiChrist, that the seven-headed Beast was the Roman Emperor, because Rome was built on seven hills, etc.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18 speaks of the Lord coming in the clouds to meet the saints. The word "rapture" is not in the text, it is just another name for meeting the Lord in the air. The word the Bible uses for passing into heaven from life is "translated", Hebrews 11:5.

The bible doesn't specifically use the word Rapture, but the concept of rapture is in I Thessalonians 4:17

No,it doesn't. The rapturists take their text from where it says "two are in the field, one will be taken, the other left" This does not mean one will disappear. It means that at some point God is going to say enough is enough! Those who are guilty will be guilty still. Those who are in a saved condition will remain that way. The rapture theory is dangerous, and satan dreamed it up,and knows it will cause many to be lost. He does this to hurt Jesus, but he will be burned up in the lake of fire as the bible says. The lake of fire will be for Satan and all the fallen angels who followed him instead of Jesus. Read the bible. Take no preacher's word for it.

The term "rapture" was invented by dispensationalists in the 19th century. When Jesus comes again...that's it...no second chances...
The "rapture" as dispensationlists believe has been polularized by the *fictional* "Left Behind" series of books and movies...it is not historical Christianity...it implies that there will be a "Third Coming" of Jesus...which is not Biblical...the Bible only speaks of a Second Coming...

Just off the top of my head, two passages stick out:
1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4
I quote the most relevant part of both passages below (NIV translation), but it might help to read the entire chapter that the quotes come from to help keep it in context:
"Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed — in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: 'Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory?' " [1 Cor. 15:51-55]
.........
"According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
(1 Thes. 4:15-17)
