I knew better this year but one year I went with a guy I was dating and his dog and the dog freaked and tried to get away and I got all scratched up holding onto him?

Basically I asked this question as a warning to let others know it is not a good idea.

yeah, I was just with a dog tonight at my uncles when he lit of some fireworks. The dog was so scared, he jumped on me and scratched my legs all up. Now there are freakin welts all over my legs. Then we put him in the house and he peed and then continued to howl for the duration of the show. Not a good idea to bring dogs by fireworks.

I was just sitting here and a firework went off in the backyard. Part of it flew up and hit the window above where my dog is sleeping, he didn't wake up.

I learned last year that my dog is intrigued by fireworks. He seems to enjoy watching them as much as I do, so you can bet, if I go to watch them, he's coming with me.

HAHA I get fire work shows all the time and my dog pisses all over ther place when this happens... I live in China and like every weekend people get married all over the city. When people get married they light fireworks off when the groom arrives to pick up the bride at her house in the morning... It gets soooo annoying >.<

i never will. even @ home on the fourth of july she is a nervous wreck. i think taking dogs or any animal to see something like fireworks could scar them for life mentally and they could become curious and get seriously hurt. that was a stupid question

My friends dog thinks fireworks are great. She enjoys watching them! lol Most dogs are afraid of them though (for good reason). As long as you teach them as puppies not to be afraid you won't have any problems.

first, dogs are colored blind.second, their ears are very senitive. 3rd. their sense of smeell id fantastic. now how would you like someone to fly you to firefight/bombng battle in iraq, and expect to enjoy it. even if you had the comfort of your lover by your side.
