Unless your job that you are applying for is Military related or the only job you've ever had has been in the Military then I would not worry about listing it on your resume. Your military experience is not usually questioned when applying for a job. So unless it is directly affecting your outcome for the interview or hiring process I wouldn't worry about it!

Hope this helps!

Really depends on the job. For some government positions, they award points for military service, so it would be a plus.

If it doesn't apply to the job you're applying for, you might not want to mention it unless you think it will impress the person reading the application.

Most employers could care less if you had military service. There are exceptions (law enforcement, federal jobs requiring clearance etc.)Like I advised you before consult a veterans advocate and get this squared away. It's important.

Yes, because if an employer found out that you left that information out they could fire you later..(and they always find out about military service) It is better to be honest up front and explain yourself than to lose the job over ignorance..

most places do a background check on you. if its not listed...all they have to do is call a number and ask
if you have a criminal background
if you have bad past employment activity
if you have been in the military
etc etc

I don't think it matters why you were discharged. They just want to know if you served. I think they try to hire vetrens or somebody gets a kick back of some kind.
