I think God would rather have you seriously think about living a righteous life. That's why he lowballs discussions of heaven and hell, and put most of his efforts into describing how to be a good person. He wants you to focus on the journey, not the goal.

I think God brings us to points in our life where we question His existence.
If we chose to be foolish and vain, God will bring us to another point, such as a sickness, or other problems we have where He is giving us an opportunity to think this through again, hoping we will acknowledge Him. Perhaps again and again.
Then maybe He gives up on the really foolish and vain ones, perhaps they are too full of themselves.
But the ones that do get to know Him, get to experience His peace and joy and other gifts bestowed.
These are very real and lovely to possess, but one must keep Him uppermost in our thoughts and prayers daily and try to obey.

It's amazing! God, creator of all, has always been here. It just amazes me when I think about the beginning of time and He was already here. Planning the world and us. We cannot comprehend in our little human minds about how amazing it is. I hope He shows us someday - like a video, of how things were created.
He made us ultimately so we would worship Him. He walked with Adam in the garden before Adam and Eve's fall. He was a friend. Then we sinned. He could have ended it all there, but he loved us enough to send us His son to redeem us.
God's amazing.

Dear Ark,
I have seriously considered the existence of God.
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
Please be aware that there is scientific and intellectual evidence for the existence of God (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/godsci/evidence.htm)
Cordially,
John

CREATION is PROOF that there HAS TO BE A CREATOR! Did your computer just make itself and 'POOF!'--Arrive on your desk? Or your car just came together and arrived in your driveway--NO MAKER--just "blind chance"--??? Crazy, isn't it? Why,it's no more insane than saying vast Suns,Moons,Stars,Quasars,Nebulae,Planets just appeared out of NOTHING and 'PRESTO!'--They all orbit in perfect precision,so much you can set your clock by them and they will always be at a certain point in the sky everytime! GOD has left His "Mark"--By CREATING! And what of your own MIND? Did something INFERIOR to your intelligence FORM YOU??? NONSENSE! So you see, pretending GOD does not exist does not excuse one from common sense.

Yes, that is why I have developed the theories I believe. Yes, I said theories. Until I receive final PROOF I will consider ALL spiritual belief systems theories. (but then I still think reality is a theory)
