It has always been this way an will continue to be so because of the media and society's perceptions on how someone is meant to be......dont take any notice, the world is bigger than high school and in ten years time when you are successful as a researcher or doctor or engineer or something You can look back and say, look where i am now, these people gave me crap and looked down on me because i was smart, where are they now? Probably either dead, in jail, or sitting on welfare and unmarried with a bunch of kids, get on with your life and be what you will be, 20 years time you wont even know who these people were anyway.

it's not just now-a-days, it was the same when I went to school 10 years ago. It's funny now looking back and seeing the people who got straight a's are pretty successful and the people who made fun of them are still losers (drug addicts, working minimum wage jobs and still living at home). I say be as smart as you possibly can and dont ever let any "bully" try to break you down to their pathetic level !
