Without illegal immigration, the american economy would crumble. Who else is gonna pick fruit, wash dishes, bus tables clean hotel rooms etc...etc... Immigration policy needs to be overhauled and a sustainable migrant worker policy (with a fair minimum wage) needs to be introduced. Also, rather than the law aiming at the illegals, the govt should aim at the employers who take advantage of illegals. Limiting the demand for the workers can decrease the number of illegals entering America. Simplistic I know but its gotta start somewhere

...happy, ONCE AGAIN, eh?....

I think you might be taking the situation slightly out of context. There are those that feel it is a problem. There are those who feel it is a MAJOR problem. I gather that you feel that there are other, greater problems that we should be worrying about? Why waste time on illegal immigration? But the fact that there are those who feel it is a problem, and that it should be dealt with, does not mean that those who feel it is a problem feel that it is THE UNDERLYING problem with our country. Frankly, I think that I resent the implication.

Yes, it is a problem. It might, in fact be a major problem. Yes, we have other problems. Our other problems may be larger than this one, but I can still be concerned about illegal immigration, can't I?

Into every life, some rain must fall, but it would sure lighten the load if about 4-6 million packed their bags and went home...america's not perfect, I don't think we ever claimed to be, actually, but what we've got now thanks to BushCo and company is A MESS. Bad national policy=decreased livability for americans. It's not enough that our debt has ballooned, now the neighborhoods are being deliberately degraded. Maybe this is all like, oil companies' revenge, or something! LOL That wouldn't surprise me, a lot of your millionaires tend to be greedy, crafty, power-oriented, and out to screw others so that their advantageous standing is never jeopardized. 'Winning', to some of them, is just as medieval as what you see on the news, gouge out the other guy's eye, kick him in the nuts THEN pick up the ball and run away with it...ruthlessness in government isn't something that started yesterday, either, and that's where your checks and balances and public reviews come in. Notice how this administration really HATES that part? Coincidence? I don't THINK so...

Illegals are one of the MAJOR problems with this country, but not the only one. But if ALL the illegals get deported,it would save the taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars, that could be used for something else!!!

Sorry but the illegal immigrates is NOT the reason for the US problems.

Not me, USA have problems greater than illegal immigration. To name some: the Iraq War, fundamentalism religions or government depths.

It's a problem, but its ridiculous to think that it's the root of all problems. I'd say most of the problems relate to the system of government, and last time I checked, illegals don't have much say in that.

Um... no. Not even close.

I'm against illegal immigration, but the basis of the US' and every place's problems is discrimination. Period.

Why do you got to extremes--no it isn't all the problems-but it has caused some big problems-and is hurting others.
You read enough to know why.

Your denying it happens is foolish. It does-it is not about the people it is about problems that came as a result.

You got a sensible solution-truly sensible speak out?
