My parents have been hitting me for the past 2 months. They slap me, punch me, and sometimes beat me with a brush. My teachers ask me where I got the scrapes and bruises and I just say I fell off my bike. I don't want to tell anyone, because they're my parents. How do I stop their behavior without getting them put in jail?

I'm sorry but your parents need to brought to task. What they are doing is wrong. I know you love them. But you have got to tell someone. They will not necessarily go to jail. But they will have to change their behavior and you will all have to go thru counseling. You might be removed from the home so they will be able to get help. Tell a teacher, counselor, minister or if those are not options, the police or child protective services.

This is coming from someone who was abused as a child and it will only get worse. And than you will have to deal with the resentment and anger and fear when you are older.

You can't the only thing you can do is to tell somebody. I know what your going through and I know you love them because I love my parents too however I was tired of being a punching bag as well and I stood up to them and told them the next time they hurt me physically or emotionally I was going to throw their butts in Jail and it had nothing to do with love but everything to do with what is right. I told them I loved them but I love myself more and if they couldn't control there temper then that is what I was going to do because I may have cerebral Palsy but I am not dumb. I am 29 years old and I am a grown woman in the eyes of the legal system and I would win because I have the pics to prove it. All it takes is one phone call thats all.

Why cover for them? Do you want them to keep on treating you like that? Don't lie for them, let you teachers know what is really going on at your house. They should not be that mean to you no matter what you have done wrong if anything. There is other ways of punishing someone that what they are doing. I know they are your parents but they need to stop doing that to you. You need to report them before they mess around and hit you wrong and end up killing you by mistake.

Try talking to a counsellor at the highschool, he/she might get through to your parents. Even if this takes a while.
People who hit usually feel powerless, they feel they have no other way to get through to you (maybe) or to control you. I am sure they feel that it is "for your own good".
OR Try to find a job if you are old enough to do so and ask for help at the highschool to continue your studies. Sometimes parents take it hard when their kids grow and want to be independent, they feel they loose control and they try to use every trick (including guilt, manipulation) to prevent their child from making what they see as a huge mistake.

.
My heart goes out to you. You do realize you are being physically abused. Something is frustrating your parents that they are doing this.

You need to talk to another adult, to get involved, and find out why the hitting on you.
Your parents need to realize, even if you are doing something that is so terrible, that hitting won't solve the problem.
You must sit down as a family and find a solution to handing the problems without abuse.

dont let them get away with it.
its against the law to abuse anyone, physical or verbal.
go and seek help within ur community or with friends, work mates, family or school teeachers. u need to say something.
ur parents wont go to jail but the law will make sure it doesnt happen again.

Tell them if they keep it up, you're going to call Child Protective Services -Don't mess around, wave the number at them. If they try & hit you, defend yourself and tell them you've had enough, they need to stop, NOW.

Ask freinds or relatives if you can stay with them for awhile until your parents learn how to control themselves.

No one should put up with abuse.

If you didn't want to tell any one then why did you post it on the Internet. To answer your question you can call the cops but they will just put you in a foster home.
