Personally, I don't drink. I have only been drunk about 4 times and I just don't enjoy it. Call me weird, but I guess I'm just 1 in a million! The first time I got drunk, I took 4 shots of Wild Turkey Whiskey. How was your first experience? What did you drink? How did the night end up? Did you like it? ...not too many details, I don't wanna know what your throw up looked like or anything...LOL!

It sounds like some of you think that was the only thing I've ever drank, but it was only my first. It tastes like finger nail polish remover, but then again, most of the drinks I've tried do taste like that. The stronger ones are all nasty...even mixed w/something I still can't stand the taste. I've tried malt beers, but can't take but a few sips of them. I've never tasted real beer because it just seems gross. My friends talked me into drinking Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum...and UGH...to me it tasted just like the whiskey! My boyfriend and I tried wine on our 3rd anniversary and it was sooooo nasty! He drank it all just so we wouldn't be wasting it and he had an awful hangover. Neither of us drink, but that's good, because I don't feel like a "party pooper". Anything I can tasted the alcohol in is too much obviously! Is there anything that just tastes totally different...something that ACTUALLY tastes like candy. Probably a stupid question, but thanks for answering!

I don't drink. Never had. Guess the smell of Pabst Blue Ribbon on my dad's breath while he mowed the grass ruined me on alcohol.

Actually was the only guy in my fraternity (Go PHI PSI) that didn't drink. Of course my brothers wanted me to do a milk bong, but alas, I'm lactose intolerant. Of course being sober left me having to clean up after a lot of wasted people. But hey, somebody's gotta do it.

One observation about drinking. While in College in Germany, I noticed that Germans of all ages are drinking alcohol from Beer to Wine to Liquers and they did it like it was something completely normal. Americans react to alcohol like crack mice. It's really twisted.

The first alcohol I ever tasted was red wine in church. When I was about 12 I started experimenting. The first time was doing Irish Cream shots. After that we went on to Champagne. Then to Screwdrivers. Then beer. By the time I was 15, we had pretty much tried everything. It is good that you don't like alcohol, it can be addictive, dangerous, can cut your life span, and cause a lot of physical as well as mental health problems.

Maybe you don't like to drink because your first drink was some nasty whiskey, but there are a lot of other drinks out there, and they all affect different people in different ways. I have drank whiskey before, but only if my intention was too just get real drunk. Now that I'm older though(28)(and no,I am not ashamed of my age) I have found that, depending on my mood, I like white wine sometimes, and also I like mixed drinks like Long Island Ice Teas and Pina Colada's. But there isn't anything like an ice cold Bud Light. But that's just me, everyone's different. Maybe alcohol just doesn't agree with you, and if you don't like it don't drink it. If you do like it, then as long as you are drinking responsibly and not hurting yourself or anyone else then drink what you want!!! like wine for example, for me, if I am drinking wine I wouldn't want to be alone. I would want to be with my boyfriend because it makes me feel a certain way. but I can have a beer any time. It just depends on what you like and how it affects you.

My first alcoholic drink was "home brew beer" served at a wedding celebration.. There is a Dutch community near the town I grew up in, and they make their own beer and wine. The people are very liberal, and teenagers are treated as adults as long as they act like adults. (They don't have to be sneaky to have a drink) Anyway, I tried the beer, didn't like the taste, so I trashed it. I was there to dance and flirt with all the pretty girls and that's what I did till the party was over.

My first drink was everclear, at age 14. I was at a party and long story short I got drunk which for me means I slured my words a little more then normal and was clumsier then usual.

Lot of people mentioned germany? Thats where I was born. I so want to go there. Moved back to US when I was still a baby and I've never had a chance to go.

Long Island Ice Tea....was 16 looked 18 or 19...took my 15 year old girlfriend to dinner and ordered away. I still remember it...quite funny now to look back. I'd hoped to get her a little buzzed ...seemed like a good idea at the time and she slept most of the way home...not the effect I'd been going for.

The first spirit I tasted was beer. The taste was anything but good. I tried tasting it once more and decided that alcohol wasn't something I cared to taste or have.

I am a tea-totaler and I am proud of it.

The first time I drank I got taken home by the police. After the cop left my mom asked me what I was drinking and the conversation went like this: "Some Strawberry Hill something"

"Boone's Farm?!"

"Yeah I think that was it."

"That was the first thing I ever drank"

"Really how old were you?"

"Go to your room"

To this day we still don't talk about that incident.
