I have an xbox and almost all the games support 480p.

If the 480p is better are there any good 20" LCD 480p screens for optimal viewing of xbox games?

The difference is 480i is only 30FPS at 60Hz, because it uses two partial frames to make one frame. 480p has 60FPS at 60Hz, because it draws a complete frame at a time.

so, 480p is better.

480p is far better for graphics and text. All computer displays are p (progressive scan). All LCD screens display in progressive scan, and most will accept the 480p from you xbox.
