I was told I was in the English AP class, but now they've gone and told me I'm waitlisted. It's very important to me that I get in, and I won't take no for an answer. I'm just not sure how to do it. Plus, I need to know what to read for summer reading! Any advice?

Have your parents contact the principal. It seems to work in the school I teach at.

Contact the AP teacher and ask for the list of summer reading. Tell him/her that you are on the waiting list, and would like to be prepared in the event that you get in. They'll be more than happy to provide that for you.

Start knocking off people that are already in the class.

Honestly, though....all you can do is just wait it out and see if anyone will drop the class.

Look on the brightside you may get a higher grade if you take a lower level course because it will be easier. Would you a high grade look better on a transcript or a low grade.
