Shemus, there are may 'dialects' in Singapore, however, the official language is English. There is no such thing as a Singaporese language, unless you count slang in. Keep on passing, and godspeed.

Singlish is not a language, it's just a local form of sub-standard english and is usually frowned upon on by many. Furthermore, the official languages are english, mandarin, tamil while the national language is malay(not many know it though) and Yahoo Singapore is english based :)
