I want to tell my boyfriend that I want to split, but something inside is telling me not to. He doesn't kiss or give me any physical contact whatsoever and my mum says I should tell him to give me a good enough reason for me to stop trying to hold his hand, hug him etc. If he doesn't give me one, then I tell him we'll just be a couple who are only mates. If I do split with him, I can start on someone else. Should I split or stay?

When I ask he just says " I don't like the mushy stuff". When I try he says no in a whiney way. It sucks.

XXXXX He's not worth your time honey and you know that. I think you just need a bit more justification. Well, here it is. SPLIT!!!!! Why are you spending valuable time wishing and wondering. It's time to get on with your life. Meet someone who will give you kisses that will twinkle your toes. You deserve nothing less baby. Stop trying to beat a dead horse. Move on!!! XXXXXXXXX

You fail to give your age and that is important. If you are a person who needs lots of physical attention (hand holding, kissing, hugs etc.) than maybe he is not the one for you. I am curious though you said something inside keeps telling you not to split. My question is why? Is it because you like him and are comfortable with him or is it because someone is better than no one. I will tell you what I told my daughter, if you are not receiving the attention YOU need then you will never be fully content or happy. If he means alot to you than sit him down and talk with him about it and find out why? If he is unwilling or unable to change I suggest you move on. I told my daughter when you meet your soul mate he will go out of his way to make you happy in every way, and in turn you will do the same for him. Why should any person settle for less then they deserve. Find a guy who you know loves you as much as you love him, a real man who wants to hold your hand who is proud of you to the point he will kiss you to show the world you are his. A girl should not waste her time or her looks on a guy that gives her any less. If you love this one than talk and work with him and if you don't, why waste another moment of this precious life. Good Luck

Well I have personal space issues so I can understand a little bit. If he did previously kiss, hug, etc. and now stopped for no reason then move on. My boyfriend gets mad at me for pushing him away when he wants to hug or kiss me. I try to compromise and kiss and hug at times. My boyfriend has helped me to open up more. I think if you have a feeling inside not to leave him, you should talk with him about your feelings and then if he won't compromise then move on.

he could have a form of autism, and not even know it or embarrassed to tell you. These individuals have hypersensitive skin, and soft touching feels like sandpaper or worse like a wirebrush. See if he is like this generally, and not just with you. It's not his fault, but you if you need the soft touching, he's not right for you.

To quote the old Beatles song: "Some day, you'll look, to see I've run. But tomorrow may rain, so, I'l follow the sun." Leave him and don't look back.

I think the problem is with him and not you. However, I think you should wait a while before taking any action. Then you will know what to do.
