nagging is such a small word but has a very vague meaning. It could be persistent, insisting, reminding, etc. I have been accused of being a nag when all I wanted is to get this over and done with. But he is being a jerk and not doing anything about it. So we can both go on with our lives. I am doing this because 1) my daughter is turning of age and I am running out of time 2) Financially, I have supported my daughter all her life and I think he should give his share 3) My daughter wanted to know him.

if it has to do with my little girl, ill go to the grave nagging for her.im guessing hes fighting you about seeing her and supporting her so you need to do what you have to for her.you cant force him to be their for her but you sure the hell can force him to pay support for her.that is her right even if you dont need it put it away for her.so if that is why he calling you a nag then no that is not a nag you are just doing your motherly duties.nagging has no reason.just to nag.

It sounds like you should be talking to a lawyer about this overall situation. As far as the meaning of nagging: I would say that it is when someone asks someone else to do something or stop doing something as the case may be over and over again especially for an extended period of time such as several days even though the other person has indicated either verbally or nonverbally that he/she has no intention of honoring the request.

To nag means to pester, harass, keep on at, irritate, annoy, disturb. It shouldn't have to come down to the point where a wife has to "keep on at" her hubby. He should be mature enough to accept his responsibilities & carry out his duty, without having to be pushed about it... but it sounds like he hasn't quit pooping yellow yet (still babyish-childish). Have you noticed how it does "disturb" some children, if you ask them to do something, when they don't want to? They can be lazy, pouty or angry.
