people get the concept of a relationship mixed up with prostitution (which is why radchad25 is under the impression guys need to pay for everything. by the way dude, here's the clue *get it, i'm pitchin...*) boyFRIEND, girlFRIEND; that means we're friends of the opposite sex that are into each other on another level. when you're out at a restaraunt with your buddies and the bill comes, unless someone is feeling generous, what is the first reaction? everyone reaches for his wallet to split the tab. this same concept can be atributed to a relationship. its been a custom (especially in American culture) for the man to be the provider and protector. so, whenever a man has a woman that makes more money than him, he's instantly pegged weaker, and some women will then systematically emasculate him. and that is why you'll see women going after prominent men because they wanna become a kept woman. kept from working, helping out with a bill, etc. you see those women tend to drink themselves crazy because the life isn't what they thought it was.
anyway, to get back to my point, when you pick up a prostitute you essentially pay for the services rendered (time spent with you) that can be the same for the woman you're with who never pays. you take her out to a dinner, movie, you go home and have sex. and the process never changes because you have to be the chivalrous man and pay for everything. you're not being a man, you're being pimped. when a woman takes you out (and it doesn't have to be a special occasion for goodness sakes) it says "i know you can take care of me, but i would also like to cater to you." some men might think, "well, the trade off is that my woman tends to the house and waits on me hand and foot." not only are you living with a prostitute, but you just bought yourself a slave. people, its 2006, we as the new generation should shed the ideals that our parents burdended us with. its a new day. my woman makes twice as much as i do but she still treats me like a king and i'm not left to feel intimidated by her. when a woman and man truely learn who they are in relation to one another, there won't be that awkward moment when the bill comes...

girls should pay once in a while and show effort and equalness in the relationship. not fair to make the guy pay all the time, besides, he can always get us jewelry and pay the whole price for that and i would take that trade: jewelry for dinner any day!
