Any electronic transducer used in a control circuit; any feedback format in a control circuit; any type of display to an operator or technician including but not limited to video, LED's, signal lights or sounds.
Electric and electronic are not synonymous though many use them as such. Also, signals can be either analog or digital.
Examples of transducers are pressure to voltage, temperature to voltage, or some other measurable property to voltage or current converter.
