I can't take the covers off all the cushions, and I have a Bissell spot bot, so I can use that to clean it with too, but I need to know what product REALLY KILLS the smell. I was going to pay to have it professionally cleaned but the place said they couldn't get deep down into the couch so it would still smell. My cushions have foam in one part and the top is "pillow-like". I need to get the smell out of the foam part, which is a pain to get out of the cushion covers. I have material to replace the filling on the top pillow part, but what will get it out of the foam. Please help me! I don't want to get rid of my $2400 couch!!!!

Its a suede/microfiber material, so something that won't ruin that too. No kids in the house, so no worries there.

Take the cushion out of the cover if you can and (I know it's a pain) put the foam part and the pillow top in the bath tub. Spray with a protealytic enzyme product like OUT! Pet Stain and Odor Remover. There are many products on the market that you can use. I think Hartz makes one.
If you could soak the foam part in water to remove as much of the urine as possible first, do it. You can kind of smush it up and down in the tub filled with water. You'll probably need help with this as the water filled cushion is really heavy. Get as much water out of it as you can. I know it sounds awful but I've done it. Use the spray after . It will take a long time for the foam cushion to dry. I put mine out in the sun for several days.
You may be able to find a product that you can use in your Bissell. Probably any of the above products can be used. The products just "eat" the protein in the urine and also have a light deodorizer in them.
I've known about them for a long time and use them for feces, vomit and deodorizing trash cans, too.
Good Luck.

I concur with the person who suggested Nature's Miracle. It's an enzymatic cleaner, has a nice, minty smell, and it took care of a living room (including upholstered furniture) nearly destroyed by a stray male cat visitor. You'll need to do a bit of soaking of the affected areas, but it really does work and I've never had a single comment about the odor since. Good luck

They sell stuff at the pet store that works really well. I can't remember the name of it, but look for a cleaner with enzymes. It eliminates the odor and it's the only thing I've found that really works.

Try nature's miracle. It works really well and gets animal urine out so that you can't even see it with a black light. Good luck!
