It can seem difficult at times but He always sees you through. He's just testing your faith.

The words to a song by a Christian band called Staple come to mind, it says. . . .

"I know what to do, I know what to say.
I believe every Word, it's just so hard to obey."

Yes, many times it is because what God wants me to do is something my flesh doesn't want to do. An example would be to fast and pray for someone who needs a touch from God or needs salvation. Or when I am tired and worn out and want to go to sleep God says no to sleep because He wants me to pray. My heart cares more about what I need than what someone else needs.

Jesus struggled with the will of God the night He was betrayed by Judas. Jesus did not want to go to the cross. He knew how horrible and painful it would be. No one in their right mind would want to go through that. He was hoping there would be another way. But God the Father said "No". Because Jesus loved His Father, He willing yielded His will to the Father's will. When Jesus yielded, God the Father sent angels to strengthen Him. Jesus went to the cross and died for the sins of the world like the Father wanted Him to, so we could have forgiveness of sin and eternal life.

It is hard to lay aside what we want to do the will of God because we know that we will experience some unpleasant thing(s). However, if we do, then God will give us strength to do what He wants us to do.

It all boils down to allowing God to have authority over our lives. He has the right to do so. The Scriptures say that we are not our own, that we are bought with a price. (1 Cor 6:19-20) This is a concept that is not easy for me to accept because I want to be in control. I am sure many other Christians are the same way.

Once you believe on and receive Jesus as Savior and Lord, God expects you to obey.

If I knew for sure what God was saying, then no it would not be hard at all. Sometimes if I want to do something and I don't get the results I would've liked, then maybe it was not Gods will in my life. Sometimes He might close a door, but there is always a bigger and better door. Just pray about everything before you do it. He's always there for us.

God says to delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Our desires often conflict with God's desires for us. This is where it is hard. I have heard that one way to interpret that verse is that as we delight ourselves in God, he will change our desires to his. Yes it is hard, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! I struggle as God molds and shapes me like clay on the potter's wheel. But, I know the struggle is worth it because my faith which is valuable to God will come forth like pure gold when it is tried by fire and you can't beat the peace that comes from being obedient.

God is a figment of your imagination, therefore what you think Gods desires are, are also figments of your imagination. I hope that helps. Learn more:

yes, sometimes it is. when we are asked to do things out of our comfort zone or things that never in our wildest dreams would you ever think or want to do what He has asked! it is a lack of trust that He loves us, and would never ask us to do anything that He isn't prepared to be there with us. as we grow in Him, we learn that we just walk in His footsteps, that we will never be where He isn't and He will supply ALL our needs in Christ Jesus.
